Zaha Hadid for Melissa

In the era of the high-rise heel, it’s no surprise that an architect has been called upon to design women’s shoes.
Architect Zaha Hadid, known for her abilities to mould metal and glass into spectacular buildings, has joined forces with Brazilian shoemakers Melissa to create a new women’s shoes.
“I have 30 years of research on different areas of architecture and design and this was a very challenging project," said Hadid, "not only in design but on the technical side.”
Melissa has a patent formula for creating footwear and boasts that the classic shoe takes less than a minute to produce, adding that it has made 50 million pairs of shoes over the past 20 years.
The ecologially-conscious shopper need not worry about the plastics in the shoes. All products are created from sustainable sources and we’re reassured that the shoes can be disassembled and recycled too, making them ideal for vegans, environmentalists - and architects.

Elbow Lenght Gloves: a must have for AW10

The glove has found it's revival in rich shades and elongated lenghts: you'll see lots of elbow lenght and even past elbow lenght gloves around. Quilted, patent leather and exotic skins...Paris is full of them this season. This will surely be a must have for ladies this next Automn/Winter 2010.

Dressing like a leopard

It's a jungle out there, particularly when it comes to fashion. One of the hot Winter 2009 Trends is Leopard print clothes and it's sure to have an impact as the temperatures drop and cold weather clothing comes out of the closet. This heart of the jungle look won't be restricted to just leopard print clothes, but designers will show a variety of leopard and animal print footwear and accessories such as bold handbagswallets and shoes. This can be a nice alternative for the woman who doesn't want to completely embrace this bold trend in clothing but would like to add a touch of the wild and exotic to her wardrobe. Animal and leopard print clothes are a strong look that not all women will feel comfortable in. The key to wearing these bold patterns successfully is to keep the rest of the outfit sedate. Although head to toe animal prints may look appropriate on the runway, in real life it can look overdone, particularly for work. The key is to select a single piece of animal print clothing to serve as the focus of your outfit. A soft, silky leopard skin blouse worn with a pair of the new wide legged pants in black with a sleek black belt and black suede heels is a look that can be worn anywhere from the office to a dinner out on the town.
Leopard print clothes and jackets are a great way to update the classics in your closet with something fun and flashy.

2006 Debut of Neil Barrett’s woman fashion with a first show in NY AW2006
2008 Launches the second menswear line exclusive in Japan for a younger audience - Black Barrett

“In 10 years Neil Barrett brand has become a leather among young fashion brands combining men’s and women’s retail with day and evening wear, shoes and accessories. Neils’ skilled British tailoring, combined with fine Italian craftsmanship, create his distinctive signature pieces that stand out for their attention to detail and timeless, always wearable, style.” in http://www.neilbarrett.com/

His creations just fascinates me, his minimalist style as well as neutral colors (black / white) combined with fine  fabrics and textures give the sense of luxury but wearable pieces you can't find anywhere else.

Next I'll present you my favorite outfits from the last shows in Milan. Hope you like it as much as I do.

but the trend for 2010 is:

Plastic Aviators
"Wire-framed aviators have been a stone-cold classic for decades—now they've gotten a timely update. This new riff co-opts the chunky plastic cool of Wayfarers and applies it to the timeless fighter pilot's silhouette."
